Holiday Villa for Rent near Hyeres

Once a favourite winter retreat for Queen Victoria, Hyeres was one of the first seaside holiday venues of the French Riviera. Its beautiful villas were built in the 19th century. The old town, dating from Roman times, has lots of pedestrian streets full of colourful shops.

A steep walk brings you to the ruins of the castle where there is a beautiful panorama over the Peninsula of Giens, Porquerolles and Port Cros islands.

HYERES HARBOUR

With its four marinas and 1,300 spaces, Hyeres harbour is one of the largest of the French Riviera. Just next to the Airport and not far from the TGV train station, it is an excellent base for lots of French yachtsmen. Many restaurants welcome you along the quay. A large selection of boat hire shops can offer you anything from a windsurfer up to a 50 ft yacht.

The international Yacht club is very dynamic. Check on their website for forthcoming events.

Scuba diving clubs, sailing schools, boat hire, and more are available at the harbour.
